DropTrack makes it easy to find and submit your music directly to record labels, DJs, blogs, radio stations, and playlist curators - all from within the platform.
Watch: Find Playlists and Pitch Your Music
Watch the 49-second playlist pitching overview to see how to find a suitable playlist, send a personal pitch and plan your follow-up.
Choose How to Pitch Your Music
- Submit directly: find a suitable opportunity in the playlist directory, listen to the playlist and follow its submission guidelines. Some submissions are free; others offer or require a paid listen. A paid listen does not guarantee playlist placement.
- Send an email campaign: save time by sending personal pitches to your own contacts or available industry lists, then see opens, plays and downloads so you can follow up with people who engage. See Creating Your First Email Campaign.
- Share a listening link: give a playlist curator one place to play your music and leave feedback. See Playlist Links and Offers.
Using the Browse Directory
- Go to Tools > Browse Industry Contacts or Promotion > Submission Opportunities.
- Search for industry contacts by:
- Type - Record labels, DJs, blogs, radio stations, playlist curators
- Genre - Filter by the genres they accept
- Location - Find contacts in specific regions
- Browse profiles to learn more about each contact, including their website, preferred genres, and submission requirements.
Submitting Your Music
- Find a contact you want to submit to in the Browse directory.
- Click Submit.
- Select a track or paste your Spotify link (for Spotify playlist curators).
- Write a submission message - keep it professional and concise. Mention why your music is a good fit for them specifically.
- Optionally attach your AI-generated press release for extra context.
- Submit!
Tracking Submissions
Go to Promotion > Campaigns and filter by submission campaigns to review the music you sent and its engagement. The Submissions menu is for music other people send to you.
Tips for Better Submissions
- Research first - Check the contact's preferred genres and style before submitting. Don't send hip-hop to a techno label.
- Personalize your message - Mention something specific about the label or DJ. Show you've done your homework.
- Lead with your best - Submit your strongest, most polished track.
- Attach a press release - Use the AI Press Release Generator to create one quickly.
